Pre-Sediment Filter

First line of defense for your plumbing.

Blue 4.5" x 20" Big Blue pre-sediment filter housing

Our pre-sediment filter captures sand, silt, and rust before they reach the rest of your water system. Installed at the point of entry, it protects your softener, RO unit, and appliances — and extends the life of the media downstream.

$199

Unit price only. Installation arranged separately with an independent licensed plumber, who you pay directly.

Overview

Even city water carries fine particles — sand, silt, and flecks of rust from aging mains and pipes. Left unfiltered, that sediment wears on valves, clogs fixtures, and shortens the life of any treatment system downstream.

A pre-sediment filter is the simplest, most cost-effective protection you can add. It installs where the main line enters your home and captures particles down to 5 microns before they reach your softener, RO system, or appliances.

It's the ideal first stage in a treatment setup: by keeping sediment out, it lets your softening resin, carbon, and RO membrane do their job longer between replacements.
